A Prayer for President Donald Trump for Godly Leadership and Wisdom

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with thanksgiving, acknowledging that all authority comes from You. Your Word says in Romans 13:1, "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established." And in Daniel 2:21, You remind us that it is You who changes times and seasons, who removes kings and sets up kings.

Lord, we lift up President Donald Trump to You. You have allowed him to be placed in this position of leadership for such a time as this. We pray that he would seek You with all his heart as he makes decisions for this nation.

Father, grant him wisdom beyond his own understanding. Your Word promises in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." Let him ask, and let him receive Your wisdom to lead with discernment, justice, and truth.

Give him a heart to lead according to Your Word:

Let him remember Proverbs 21:1, that "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases." Guide his heart, Lord, toward righteousness.

Let him lead with integrity and justice, for Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice." May his decisions reflect Your righteousness, Your mercy, and Your love for all people.

Surround him with godly counsel. As Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety." Remove voices of flattery and deceit, and bring advisors who will speak truth and honor You.

Give him courage to do what is right in Your eyes, even when it is difficult. Give him humility to acknowledge his need for You, and strength to stand for truth, for life, for justice, and for freedom.

We pray for his protection, for his family, and for peace in his heart. May he be reminded daily that leadership is not about power, but about service — as Jesus said in Mark 10:45, that the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.

Lord, let his leadership bring glory to You. May he seek first Your Kingdom, knowing that all else will be added.

We pray this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.
